A Revolutionary New Solution for Resource Assessment
The Grand Symphonie wind measurement system will fundamentally change the way you measure, collect, and transmit wind data. With a flexible, wireless design and as many as 50 connected sensors, this advanced technology opens the door to powerful knowledge impossible to obtain with traditional data loggers and wired sensors.
NRG Systems has reinvented resource assessment with a focus on
providing premium quality sensors built with ground-breaking technology that reduces measurement uncertainty while significantly reducing your total cost of ownership.
What is GS?
Grand Symphonie is a suite of products for resource assessment including sensors, a wireless expansion module (GS-Pod), a data logger, a remote communication module and a cloud-hosted web application for storing, managing and delivering your data - WindPortal. This system was designed entirely by NRG Systems, leveraging our 30 years of experience to develop a product line that not only delivers substantial improvements to resource assessment, but sets a new standard by providing innovative new features never before possible.
Included in the Grand Symphonie system is the GS-Pod, a completely new device that frees you from down-tower sensor cables and allows you to scale your system to any size project imaginable. Every GS-Pod added to your system allows you to connect six additional GS sensors, allowing up to a total of 50 sensors in your system. The GS-Pod communicates wirelessly to your GS-Logger, so you are free to locate your sensors anywhere you choose.
Your data is what matters most, and GS delivers. The system complies with IEC-61400-12-1 (wind turbine power performance) and comes with an array of advanced calibrated sensors:
- The GS-Class 1 Anemometer is standard on the GS system giving you Class 1A-compliant wind speed measurements at every site
- The P2546GS-OPR WindSensor anemometer is the same sensor you trust, but re-designed on the inside to include the signficant benefits of GS
- The GS-Vane is a wind direction vane that has no dead band and can mount on the same boom as the anemometer
- The GS-T/H combines highly accurate temperature and humidity measurements into a single sensor
- Barometric pressure measurement is built-in to every GS-Pod and GS-Logger
- The GS-ASIM allows you to adapt non-GS anemometers into your system
In designing this system, all aspects of your hardware needs are covered such that everything fits together in a simple-to-use and seamless manner. This includes sensor booms, cables (connecting GS sensors to the GS-Pod or GS-Logger), shelter box, power supplies and PV panels. The NRG Uni-Bracket offers a new way to mount your equipment easily to any tower of your choice: tubular or lattice.
The GS story
NRG Systems has invested many years of effort developing Grand Symphonie and WindPortal. The vision started with building upon the Symphonie system as a strong foundation, and extending it to provide wireless connections that integrated micro-computers in every sensor with state-of-the-art technology. The result is a seamless system that both simplifies the end user experience as well as provides information never before possible to the industry. GS is the most ambitious project ever undertaken by the company and we are confident that it will revolutionize your resource assessment campaign.
